Staggered Paths
Staggered Paths is a guided augmented reality walking tour. Participants were encouraged to use my voice and the video as a map of the Cherry Street Pier and the adjoining Race Street Pier. The video is a time capsule, the tour focuses on shifting qualities of light, sound, and technology through staggered timelines.

Announcements
These recordings were mixed in with the background music at the Cherry Street Pier and played over the PA system there. Easily dismissed, these frequent interruptions seek lost items, attempt to tune with the city, announce the coming and going of people, advertise things that cannot be sold, and subtly draw attention.

Text Messages From Months Ago
Text Messages From Months Ago is a fragmented conversation between my partner and I. Calling in to different phones, which are connected to two radio transmitters operating at the same frequency, we read our privately sent messages and photographs from 6 months prior in detail. Two dancers respond to each others’ movements. One holds a weak transmitter, and the other holds a stronger transmitter. When they draw near, only the weak transmission—my voice—can be heard. When they seperate, only the strong transmission—my partner’s voice—is heard. As the dancers move, they stitch together a series of fragmented conversations determined by their closeness.

Five Minute Workout Video
This at home house plant workout video explores relationships to efficiency as time is broken down numerically as it would be in a HIIT routine, with 45 seconds of intense exercise and 15 seconds to cool off. Telecommunication devices meticulously map out our lives for efficiency, breaking even the seconds into usable time chunks.
